Bridge construction work begins in Nimroz and 36 projects have been completed in Kunar

Afghanistan’s official news agency (Bakhtar) reported yesterday that a bridge (120 meters in length & 2 meters wide) will be constructed in the southern province of Nimroz.В  Once this bridge is completed, it will resolve transportation issues for 10,000 families. The project is being financed by Belgium.

The same news agency also reported that 36 “National Solidarity Program Projects” have been completed in the Sheagal district of Kunar province. Kunar is in northeastern Afghanistan. These projects included such things as the building of a protection wall, digging of potable water wells, asphalting of the roads, construction of power stations, and cleaning of canals and streams.
