New roads to Herat airport opened

Yesterday, the Governor of Afghanistan’s western province of Herat, Yusuf Nuristani, and the Italian Provincial Reconstruction Team opened two new roads in order to improve transportation to Herat’s airport. Afghan kickboxers win 7 medals!

Early this week, Afghan kickboxers were honored for winning medals in the Asian Open Kickboxing Championship which was held from February 18-21 at the Balewadi Sports Complex in India.  Overall, the Afghan kickboxers won 7 medals – 5 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze. Rebuilt runway inaugurated

Afghan TV reported today that the newly built runway of Mazar-e-Sharif Airport was inaugurated yesterday. Mazar-e-Sharif is the capital of Balkh province.
