Afghanistan victorious over Netherlands in Cricket Match

Captain Nawroz Mangal

In Afghanistan’s fourth game of the ICC World Cricket League Division One cricket tournament, currently being held in the Netherlands, they easily defeated the host country Netherlands by 6 wickets (with 45 balls remaining).

This is now two wins in a row for the Afghan team – two days ago, they defeated Kenya by 1 wicket.

With this win, their next match against Scotland on July 9th becomes a virtual semi-final.

Much credit goes to team captain Nawroz Mangal who hit 67 runs in 53 balls. Ashgar Stanikzai and Mohammad Shahzad also played well and help their captain to guide the team to victory over the Netherlands.

– Afghanistan won by 6 wickets (with 45 balls remaining)
