Afghans dominate the Scots in a 4-day cricket match

Afghanistan defeated Scotland by 229 runs today in a 4-day ICC Intercontinental Cup cricket match which concluded today at Cambusdoon New Ground, Ayr. On day one, Afghan batsman completely dominated the Scots – the first day ended with 349 runs for 5 wickets. On the second day, the domination continued with the Afghan batsman further increasing the lead – Samiullah Shenwari achieved 102 runs on that day. Hamid Hassan bowled brilliantly and Mohammad Shahzad achieved his second first-class century (105 runs) on day 3. On the last day, Hamid Hassan bagged five wickets to help Afghanistan seal the deal and officially beat Scotland. Scotland had been been given a target of 546 runs – they had a mountain to climb on the last day and it was just too much for them.
